Discover Local Diving
Jesse & Mike are very experienced local divers. They have removed almost 400lbs of debris from our local waterways this year! Come and join in the fun. They are NOT dive professionals. Proceed through the ranger gate and keep left going past the big upper lot on the right. Go through the stop sign and around the bend. The parking lot is a dead end road with a gate preventing car traffic from going further. Mike & Jesse will be at the gate by a pinic table getting gear together. Diver participant forms must be filled out in order to participate. Please fill them out ASAP after signing up. Thank you. It's a good idea to bring a wagon to haul things as well as a bike lock so it won't walk off. This Sunday will be a two tank dive, but occasionally we do one. A dive light is a good idea, but if one isn't available, people can stay shallow and be fine. The water is much cooler than folsom lake so a 7mm or drysuit is suggested. We wear a hood and gloves as it gets cool at 35' and below. For experienced divers, we have a few extra collection bags for trash available for use. The walk to the entry of the dive site is roughly a quarter mile from the lot and all downhill on the way to. Obviously, uphill on the way back.
