As a PADI Equipment Specialist, you are prepared for the basic scuba equipment maintenance, care and adjustments you'll encounter every day. In addition, you'll learn interesting background information about how your gear works, how it’s repair and other information that helps you with your equipment investment.
The more you know about how your dive gear works, the more comfortable you are with it, the more performance you get from it, the better you can care for it.

Donât miss a dive due to minor issues with your scuba diving equipment. PADI Equipment Specialist course teaches you to manage basic repairs and adjustments. You'll also learn more about how your gear works, making you more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of your investment. If youâre at least 10 years old and certified as a PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver or higher, you can enroll in the Equipment Specialist course. Youâll learn about routine care and maintenance procedures as well as scuba equipment storage recommendations. Your instructor will show you how to overcome some common equipment problems and offer equipment configuration suggestions. Equipment Bring your basic scuba equipment to class, but will also have examples of other dive gear for you to work with during training.
