Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecked ships, airplanes and even automobiles nearly irresistible because they’re intriguing to explore, exciting avenues of discovery, and usually teeming with aquatic life. The PADI Wreck Diver course teaches you the ins and outs of rewarding, responsible wreck diving.
What you learn:
- Techniques for diving exploring shipwrecks, and how to avoid common hazards
- How to research and learn the background of your favorite wrecks
- Wreck scuba diving equipment considerations
- Considerations and techniques for entering intact wrecks
- Experience in planning, organizing and making at least four wreck dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

- This course requires eLearning and 4 open water dives
- Two days of diving, 3 dives the first day, 2 dives the second day. ELearning, tanks, weights and airfills included, when done in San Diego
- Cost of this course: The cost of this course varies We have many options for this course as far as pricing, locations and duration of time to complete. Call us to discuss details.
- eLearning will be sent out from PADI after the course is paid for. Legal paperwork will come through email. eLearning has been shown to have up to a 21% higher retention rate for students. Complete this in your own time, anytime before the dives.
- Students also need to own their own Personal Gear & Scuba Kits. Full scuba kits available for discounted rental of $80. A dive computer is also required for this course.
- Personal Gear Package: (Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Booties, Gloves) $50 credit towards this purchase for our students! These packages vary greatly, and should never be purchased online, as they need to be properly fitted by a Dive Professional, and need to be Life Support/Scuba Quality. We want to make sure your diving experience with us is #1! Any gear you purchase for your class that does not meet your needs or fit properly, will be exchanged for you, prior to your open water dives.
